Artist Statement Karen Chapman Karen in Cornwall Art Facebook and Instagram Art has been part of my life since childhood. Growing up in Cornwall gave me a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and a passion for realism in my artwork. My landscaped paintings are inspired by our beautiful Cornish scenery, I love to explore the Cornish coast paths, estuaries and hidden creeks which are reflected in many of my paintings. My wildlife drawings are inspired by the beauty of the natural world, I love to capture to essence of each animal or bird using coloured pencil to create fine detail, texture and depth.
