Sue Crook

I studied art and crafts at Trent Park Teacher Training College in London in the 1960's and taught in Bolton until I had my children, continuing to teach textile art in adult education and lecturing to HMI's and teachers. I mainly worked with textiles and held several 'one man' exhibitions. I returned to teaching in Cornwall in the 1980's until I retired in 2005, when I started to paint in watercolour. I now paint in all media and have also returned to my beloved textiles. I love the textures and methods of working with fabrics, especially dyeing and printing the textures and the patterns myself. I have lived in Cornwall since 1984 and find my inspiration in the dramatic, spectacular land and seascapes. I live overlooking the sea and never tire of being influenced by it.
